Tuesday Fun!

Hey friends!
How have you been? I'm having loads of fun with my tech babies. Have I mentioned how much I love my iPad Pro? LOL
To show you what is possible with it I made you a free printable calendar. Made from scratch on the iPad.

The apps I used to make this are Procreate and Graphic. My go to apps for everything.
I'm learning my way around Adobe Sketch now and the watercolor effect is very cool and I use
it mostly for creating backgrounds to use in Procreate.

This one I made by creating a pattern in Amaziograph and bringing it into Procreate for the
background.

Have fun with them and let me know if you like them.

Friday Freebie

Happy friday friends!
How I needed the weekend to get here. I've been very tired lately. Maybe because of the gloomy weather. And I absolutely plan on doing nothing these couple of days. Just taking a little time off.
To kick my weekend off I made you a planner printable.
Or just use it digitally in Procreate or Paper 53 if you have an iPad.
Let me know how you use it by using the hashtag #mellobi.
If you have any ideas on things you'd like to see here leave me a comment and I'll see what I can do.

Blessed weekend!

A free printable

Hello friends! It's FRIDAY!!! I really needed the weekend. School started this week after a 2 week Easter vacation followed by 2 weeks strike by the teachers and I have to say it's not easy to get back into the rhythm of things.

To celebrate my fresh blog design I made you a pretty floral to do list.

It comes with two on a letter size paper in PDF format with cut marks.
Just click on the download button to download it to your computer.

Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!

What I have on my iPad Pro

Okay my friends. I promised you an overview of my iPad apps and here we go.
I am totally smitten with my iPad. I have the rosegold 9.7" version with the Apple Pencil.
Today I bought the Apple Smart Keyboard and I am actually typing this blogpost on my iPad.
The keyboard is amazing. Very easy to connect thanks to the smart connector (it's not connected
with bluetooth) and all in all a very pretty little thing.
Here's a picture of what it looks like.

Right now I'm using the app Blog Manager which came up first when I searched for blog in the app store. Very handy. I just started using it and I am very impressed. It feels like I am just typing away on my MacBook. Amazing!
And now on to the apps.
My daily go to app is Procreate. I practice lettering on it and draw anything that comes to mind. I downloaded practice sheets from Dawn Nicole Designs blog and saved them on my Dropbox. From there it's easy to import them in Procreate.
If you want to know how to do that there are lots of tutorials on the web. For starters search for procreate tutorial on Pinterest. I've found lots of awesome tutorials on Skillshare where you can get a free 2 month trial right now. Search for procreate and you'll find the tutorials.
Graphic is another awesome app I use often. It's by Autodesk and looks and works just like Adobe Illustrator. A couple of times I created something in Procreate and brought it over to Graphic to add text. Like this one.

I made the drawing in Procreate, saved it to my camera roll from where I opened it in Graphic. There I added the text. I also saved it as a shape to use again.
Here is a screenshot of Procreate.

And here is a screenshot of Graphic.

This is the shape tool.

I'm thinking about getting Graphic for my MacBook too because I really like how easy it is to use. On Skillshare there is a tutorial series by Samantha Wilson. Look her up she's awesome.
Tomorrow i'll continue with the apps I have. I'm off to try out some new ones. God bless friends!

Lettering Excitement

Okay guys I am so excited! So much been happening around here lately.
I am thrilled to finally be the very happy owner of an iPad Pro with the magical pencil. It's amazing stuff. Can't keep my hands off it. I got the smaller size because of the better camera and I love how portable it is.
And as you can probably guess (also by the subject of this post) I have taken up lettering. When it first became the hype I tried it with just paper and the Tomboy dual tip markers but I just couldn't get a handle on it. To be honest I wasn't very motivated to practice. But... the iPad totally motivated me.
I am going through tons of stuff online like Dawn Nicole Designs blog with so much lettering stuff and Pinterest is also very helpful and addictive - i'm spending way too much time on Pinterest - and Skillshare has tons of iPad Pro tutorials. Go check it out. There's a 2 month trial up for grabs.

Here are some of my lettering works

I'll keep practicing lettering both on the iPad and on paper. Somehow the digital lettering motivated me to try it on paper with the Tombow markers. Keep an eye out for more on that.

Also I will be posting about the apps I have on my iPad and which ones I like best and why.

I wish every one of you a wonderful week and be safe.
